Vidyasagar University -2010| Vidyasagar University MSc Physics Part I Exam Result 2009 | www.vidyasagar.ac.in

Vidyasagar University, the name of one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal, as well as a dean of India Renaissance, Pandit Chandra Vidyasagar Isvara has emerged from a movement to cultural and educational activities throughout West Bengal in general and undivided Midnapore district in particular. The idea of founding a university in the district was raised by the various organizations, in particular the Regional Association of Education, Midnapore, led by Professor AKGayen of IIT, Kharagpur. The Committee appointed by the UGC Ghani also proposed, among others, to create a university in Midnapore on the ground of his "with a compact surface and a manageable number of schools" (at that time there were 36 schools with an enrollment of about 42,000), and also of its "have the great advantage of the cooperation of the IIT, Kharagpur. The Committee also believes that the new university that develop on the lines tailored to the needs of this area back.
