The Board was created in 1921 in Allahabad by an act of the United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first review in 1923. This Council is one in India which, from the beginning, had passed 10 +2 examination system. The first public review after 10 years of high school education is the examination and after 10 +2 stage, there is no intermediate review. By 1923, the University of Allahabad is the investigative body of these two tests.
