The State of Jharkhand came into existence on November 15, 2000. Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council was enacted by the Legislature of the State of Jharkhand and assented to by the Governor of 26.12.2003, which was known as the Law of Jharkhand Academic Council 07/02/2003.
