The University of Ajmer was established on August 1, 1987. Its name was changed to the University of Ajmer to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati College, Ajmer Rajasthan See State Gazette, dated May 5, 1992. The University was registered in 1993 under Article 12 (B) of UGCAct 1956.
